Another cheaper option for term life insurance than FEGLI for federal workforce employees is WAEPA. The retirement course instructor mentioned this as an option. I personally cancelled my FEGLI for WAEPA years ago and am almost to the point of self insuring and will drop term life insurance altogether next year.
