What was your reasoning? I am considering doing the same. If the G20 talks do not go well with China, Monday will be brutal. If they do, I think that is already factored into the market.
I am 3 years away from retirement and am getting defensive.

I have considered this, as well. However...
YTD: S fund +20% C fund +17%
6 Mo S fund +21% C fund +18%
3 Mo S & C funds +4.5%
2 Mo S & C funds 0%
1 Mo S fund +5.8% C fund +5%
The S fund excelled at the beginning of the year. The C fund caught up. And it now appears that the S fund is regaining its lead. So, for now, I'm staying put.
