I forgot to mention I am 46, divorced, one kid who is in the armed forces and a dog.
I also have an investment property (condo) which is rented. I may move there when I retire. I also own the house I'm living in (of course with a mortgage).
Very little debt. I do enjoy my life. I travel and buy pretty much all I want. Two cars (one paid off) and a travel trailer.
One of the reasons I want to save more is because I want to buy a nice Trawler Yacht (new if I can afford it) when I retire to cruise the San Juan Islands and hopefully do the Inside Passage.
Now, if I get married again, all that may change. The Yacht may turn into a canoe. ;)
