Two things to keep in mind.
You only pay tax on the portion you take out of your TSP or any other 401k
You can roll other 401ks or regular IRAs into the TSP if you are looking to keep fees lower.

Thought I'd throw this out there and maybe it's been covered. I expect to work full time for another 15-20 yrs. My current income isn't very high (I work for a non-profit). Since I cannot add to the TSP now, It seems smart to me to roll over the TSP into a Roth IRA so that I'm not taxed on it 15 years from now. Thoughts?
