Yup, doubletzz, a no brainer. Just kidding.... but you really should consider trying to make some money rather than lose out to inflation. G fund is safe, but you won't make a thing with your hard-earned $$ and some day you will be sorry you didn't invest it. I am retired and withdraw monthly payments from mine, but having it invested means that my total amount doesn't go down. I make more each month than what I withdraw. G fund will never, ever do that for you and may not even keep up with inflation. Having had it invested in stocks for so many years meant that I could retire early, which I did over 4 years ago.
