instead of using regular money for investing and you have to pay tax on gain, the money in Roth IRA would be tax free forever.  Hehe

Just looked it up. I don't have any IRA's outside of my TSP, and I don't qualify for any type of deduction since my wife and I make too much. Maybe I'm not understanding what benefit a backdoor Roth would provide me instead of just a "regular" Roth IRA??
