Can anyone give tips on when to move contribution from Roth to basic TSP or vice versa?
Until yesterday, I had 15% going to TSP - S Fund. However, I changed it to 10% TSP - S Fund and 5% Roth. I'm 20 years from retirement and want to maximize and take risks now.
If the S fund drops, is it wise to keep the 5% in Roth and only move the 10% of TSP to a better fund?
Thank you

I am new to the group, and after a good bit of reading and research I decided to join in. I changed my contribution allocation to the S fund and thought I transferred my funds to 100% S as well. I checked today hoping to see a months worth of growth, and I found the inter-fund transfer didn't go through.
I still had growth, but not what it would have been. Lesson learned to double check on allocations (future contribution percentages) AND transfers (current balances). Problem fixed moving forward.
