As I mentioned before, taxes now or not doesn't affect the decisions of most military investors. So those of us who are investing 15% (or whatever%) no matter what, the growth will be the same with either option. In this scenario, Roth is better.
Also with my age, I will definitely be in a higher tax bracket at retirement guaranteed, whether taxes go up or not.
So with most young investors who will only put in a set amount, see the same amount of growth, and will be in a higher tax bracket at retirement than now, it makes complete sense.
Also the benefits of predictable income not affected by taxes and the ability to pass it onto my children without inheritance tax are appealing as well.
