thanks for the links to the TSP charts. saves me a LOT of work.

it seems to default to 5 day SMA. a simple glance using 5 and 20 day MA gives obvious

1) i wish i had this info back in december or november. 

2) F fund seems to slowly move, but seems to always stay above the MA's and is positive slope (yay!!)

3) S & C seem volatile, but look like they are "flat/rolling over" to a chartist so bear close watching (boo!!)

4) I fund looks like a downward roller coaster going back as much as a year.  (ick!!)

5) overall market "feels" frothy/skittish. 

(been in the market(s) since ~1980)(lost a lot)

this is my cursory interpretation. does it look same to other

Folks, take a look at the attached chart and make your own interpretation, but I think it's time for a caution not a bravery!

I'm staying in 100% F until the market finds a tradable bottom.  Good luck!

Here is a simple spreadsheet I created.  

Newer version of excel you can create the chart with the moving average.

You can also go to  TSP Charts & Returns - Thrift Savings Plan page to get 10/20/50/100/200 day moving averages on S, C, I Funds.   I was doing research on this topic and this page came close for being an automated free site if you don't want to keep up a excel file.  I am not a member and do not endorse this website.
