can we go back to discussing maximizing returns and minimizing losses please.for instance, using TSP Charts & Returns - Thrift Savings Plan the F fund is looking like it is "rolling over" / "toppy" in the short term and C & S are heading up. I looks 'dicey' i am personally about to "stand aside" in G fund with my F fund portion till the end of the month (my 3rd move) (as a retiree, i can only add to TSP, if i understand correctly, by moving cash from an IRA to TSP)
IMHO,
1. F fund is neither rolling over nor "toppy." It looks like "its only just begun."
2. While I agree that the C fund is trending up, I must say that I continue to be concerned. First, it is not being confirmed by the other averages (S and I are bearish). Second, it has been spiking considerably in both directions, which makes any prediction more tenuous. Third, we are approaching the traditionally bear season of the year (Aug-Oct).
3. S fund is still long term bearish.
4. I fund has been long term bearish since mid 2014.
5. The returns of the G fund are a pittance and should easily be exceeded by the F fund this year.
