yes they, holders of the F Fund, could be in for a rude awakening.
if i had moved to the G fund for the 2 months beginning 11/29/2015 instead of being ill,
i would not have a loss of $86,517 in my TSP in that 2 months and it is difficult to recover from being retired. That was supposed to be my Tesla and a partial payoff of my house. "poof, gone"
if you use and simply look at a 255 day chart with SMA and then 10 and 20 day SMA with 60 day charts, it is simple to see, that while the F fund doesn't gain a lot, it steadfastly has the daily price consistently above the SMA's, low volatility, steady gains. When it "rolls over or goes 'flat" i will move it.
Again, the I fund looks like a disaster and will someday recover, the C&S look "frothy" but consistant in that they go above AND below the MA's and seem to me to look like they are "rolling over and down or flat" The TSP isn't for day trading, which is how you eventually give all your money to others, rapidly or slowly. I think it's just Sarah's way of making us feel good about being in F. Now I appreciate all the advice I have received here, and while I wish we all could maximize our moves, it is appearant that we moved a bit early from Stocks. Not to say that those still in C or S are not in for a rude awakening one morning. Hindsight is 20/20, and Sarah has much more technical information than I as to which kitty to put my money in. The good news, is that we are not losing money, we are gaining, and much better than one would do by staying in G. The decision of today, whether to go back to C or S is just to risky of a chance for me to take right now. Mr. Murphy is just waiting in the shadows for me to do it , I know he is. And then there is the other option of mixing my money into multiple areas, and I am just not that well informed to keep up with that kind of move. I kind of like the all in method myself.

Mike,
Please help me understand; while the S fund hasn't hit an all-time high like the F fund has recently, it's outgained the F fund $3.51 to 72 cents since the March 8th group move to bonds. Not picking a random date to make data look good, just the information we know. Isn't performance the bottom line? Thanks in advance for your reply.
