I think you are ignoring the issue at hand. If you believe that the S fund is going to fall to the 700 level, this is a 25% drop from 925....That's not a loss that is easily swallowed considering we are already down 20% from recent highs. Even if you mess up your timing, I think it's worth at least trying to miss some of this fall. Unless we move to a bull market, the question is not if we move to the sidelines, it is when to.
