Long term, US equities continue to move higher, albeit very very slowly, at this point. The US markets are currently the best in the world (believe it or not).
As I've stated for about a year now, the I fund is bearish and should be sold. The reason is that both Europe and Asia are in recession and the USD is bullish which weighs on the I fund.
While a bearish first day of the trading year is not a great sign, it is not as ominous as a first month bear.
Let's see if that occurs.
