I'm surprised that neither Sarah nor anyone who makes her recommended moves hasn't replied with the date they switched to the S Fund and from what. I don't know for sure, but I seem to recall it may have been back around April of 2014. I guess you could search through the through the messages for TSP Strategy alert from Sarah to find out.  
If they did switch 17 months ago, they are still up about 7% over that time frame. Not as good as the C Fund, but not bad given corrections last October and this past August.
