Sarah, do you have a theory on why S fund has so consistently outperformed C fund those years and how they might compare in the future?
It's not really a theory. Smaller companies, almost by definition, grow exponentially when compared with much larger companies. That said, they also fall exponentially in bear markets.
While we have large US companies (C fund), small US companies (S fund) and large foreign companies (I fund) available to us, it would be nice to also have a small foreign index. But that's not offered to us yet.
