IF you absolutely have to sell a _profitable_ equity, just because it's up. go outside, take a walk around the block, calm down and ask yourself "why?"
"why do i want to sell?"
write down the reasons and look at them.
"why?"
1) you can only trade a maximum of 2x per month
2) Do you just want the 'action' of a casino?, if so visit a casino for a nice dinner and take $25 of play money to lose
3) why do you want to sell a winner? seriously WHY? it's loser's you sell. basic investing. it's your money
4) If you _absolutely_ have to sell, take another walk around the block, again, make a mental "window" with a floor price and ceiling price that slides up and down. if it goes up 1-3%, raise the floor and ceiling and widen the window as prices always "fluctuate".
(as i write this, my 100% S fund is up 0.51% very tasty gains)
I would suggest using a thing called Bollinger Bands that are a 2 standard deviation envelop based on the 20 day moving averages. prices tend to hug either the upper bands or lower bands but can give an idea as to what happening, BUT remember 2x trades/month or you get sent the the G fund as 3rd trade.
This can give you a visual idea of whats going on
