Re: [TSP_Strategy] Re: Anyone Jumping Out of S?

I have been looking at slopes of the better 3 of the 4 funds.
the change in slope, at least tom me, means value is increasing or decreasing
The F fund looks pretty flat over a fair bit of the past, the C & I funds look pretty much like they move in lockstep, Up and Down
The S fund is presently on an uptrend since 8/21, but looks like it's slowing down
Note: the slopes on the C & I funds vary between -20 and + 40, a swing of delta 60 and the S fund swings between +/- 70 a delta of ~140 or twice the other two, (this is all using moving averages)
you gain (or lose) money when prices move UP (or down)

I'm trying to do some back testing, just using 2017 data of 4 potential sell/buy signals using slope of rate of change to see if I can eek out a few more shares of S fund, sofar, the answer is _NO_, so i'm cautiously watching. No one signal, or even 5-10 signals are good, and "black swan's" can come in out of the blue and disrupt everything.

(See electric vehicles like Tesla for example of disruptive "black swan's" and the incipient death of gasoline vehicles, the Islands of Ta'u in American Samoa and Kaua'i in Hawai'i, or even the 100 megawatt photovoltaic arrays WITH battery packs in Australia going online 9/28 this month for the disruption of centralized utilities, (and the incredible suffering in Haiti and Puerto Rico where the hurricanes (plural) completely destroyed the electrical grid, or the 2 pictures from NYC, easter day parade, 1901 and 1912, first one had all horse drawn carriages with one gasoiline car, 2nd one, 11 years later, had all gas cars with 1 horse drawn carriages, when change occurs, it can smack you silly with it's obviousness if you don't notice)

remember, it's _your_ money, _your_ retirement, and when the checks stop coming in every 2 weeks, it can be very sobering, so you have to be extremely cautious, and save save save, but look at where the future is heading,

sorry to digress, but i used to live in the future, until it went past me like a rocket

Robert - To take this another step - is your opinion, is there anything to be learned/gained from looking at daily pricing?  OR....would you recommend to not even look at day to day prices - instead focusing on the moving averages, price channels and other tools that smooth out the daily volatility?
