I want dated fund, 5 years increment, I want flexible withdrawn like that offered by private brokerages, and cut-off time for interfund transfer to be around 2pm EST, too much to ask? hehe

It's not really a theory. Smaller companies, almost by definition, grow exponentially when compared with much larger companies. That said, they also fall exponentially in bear markets.
While we have large US companies (C fund), small US companies (S fund) and large foreign companies (I fund) available to us, it would be nice to also have a small foreign index. But that's not offered to us yet.
