If you look on your computer at the calculator

There is probably a function of x to the y power.

X^y it may look like

Put in 1.15 for 15% for x

Put in 5 for y.
The answer should be 2.011

Ie it doubles in 5 periods (years, whatever)

If you are curious, put in 10 or 15

It is 4x and 8x larger.!!

It is quite easy, after the first time and you go "ah ha!"
