Please explain why not 100% moves?
You have only 2 moves per month. Your 3rd move is only cash/g fund.
If I is better go 100%. If S or C is better go 100% or just give up and go L2050 fund.
Why are you timid and unsure?
If you made a mistake, you can switch out the next day?
Why did you switch funds? What is your rational, non emotional reason?
Do you have a system to monitor or is it a "by guess and by golly random chance"
Do you even have the actual data and a simple set of moving averages, a 20 day, a 50 day, a 200 day.
Is the 20day above the 50day above the 200day of the fund you are in?
What is the slope of the lines?
Do you track all 4?
This is very simple to set up in excel, you can get 999 days of data free in a single download from tspcenter, or just use their free software
YOU have the control, the free tools for your retirement money.
Are you the student or the teacher, or both?
Why are you doing what you are doing?
If you are still working, take your lunchtime and do the above, moving averages and ~4 years, 999 days data, set up a spreadsheet with 20, 50, 200 day moving averages
(=avg m1,m21), copy paste, repeat for 50 and 200, set up a trigger signal, if column 1 ,> column 2, > column 3 +1, else 0
For is 20day>50day>200day
You don't care about daily fluctuations, that is extraneous noise. Then is C fund, S fund, I fund better. Understand the numbers, remove emotion.
Are you a student or a teacher? Don't be timid, it's only your entire retirement income for the rest of your life after you retire.
TSP Wealth went 60% I fund (20C/20S) as of yesterday. Seasonals and SMA's look positive. I've got 20% in the I fund currently, might move more this week.
