In regards to the other "Guru" thread. So I am confused. This group is used to share TSP trading/investing ideas amongst each other or it is a shingle that outside "gurus" can come in and hang onto, akin to a stage ?
Not sure I am understading the "direction" of this group. This group membership is approx 4700, has it grown very much ? Seems to kind of have hovered in the 3000-4000 level for a long time.
What is the "TSP investing strategy" of this group ? I see alot of gurus popping in and out, dropping their 2 cents, I also see other TSP website performance compared and cross compared ad nauseum
ok, so what ? Who cares. I am in this group to in theory learn something from THIS group. Not sure I am getting it. When I clocked on Michael Bond's links from the Gurus thread (he of course has his own website http://tspsmart.com/About ), I am brought to a page with him standing in front of a military aircraft. ????
This group has become a holding tank for Tammy Flanagan links, outside guru posts, competitor TSP website comparisons, links to TSPcenter forums, etc etc.
If i joined the local neighborhood baseball card club, I doubt we would spend all day discussing other baseball card clubs or allowing outside card clubs to drop in and quasi-advertise their services via a "message post". Most of these guru sites are garbage and run by folks with no clue about the TSP or with money of their own in the game. Writers and website operators, nothing more.
just wondering. I want something simple, easy, and mostly understandable, and thats it. I want somebody's name behind their "product", ideally a real name. sadly it is not out there and the web is full of these so called experts
