i am not sure, but I read somewhere that you can only credit 50% of sick leaves you accumulated before 2014, 100% after 2014? if yes, how do I know they use "first in, first out" if I am using sick leave now?

I have heard that if you have 2000 hours or over of sick leave they pay you for it. When that takes affect im not sure.
Under FERS, unused sick leave adds to you total length in service. For example, 1600 hrs unused sick leave would add 9 months, 6 days to your overall length of service.
Coming up on 30 years with 1600 hours+ sick leave. I doubt I would abuse it; I am grateful for this job, but I would donate it . What is the benefit under FERS if I keep it?.
Sorry didn't want to start a new thread.
