Robert,

You seem to put alot of thought into your TSP account and actively monitor the 50 - 100 & 200 day trends to determine the best fund.   I'm perplexed by the rate of withdrawal question.

 May I ask what is your planned withdrawal rate? 3%, 4% or 5% of the total TSP balance per year.  And how did you arrive at that withdrawal rate?

I am still 100% in I fund, retired, and every month, since Oct 2017, get a check  from TSP, deducted from the I fund, and in jan 2018, the check went UP $131/month, based on my actuarial table life span., so im taking money out and until a few weeks ago, the balance was going up never the less

If you are retired or close to retirement then the G fund, or some other "cash" vehicle needs to part of your portfolio especially if you planning withdrawals.
