I'll restate the end of my previous statement. It's an option to consider in retirement. That and if you read my previous statements. I said to pick blue chip stocks like the ones your taking about but turning off automatic reinvesting.
Building a dividend portfolio is an option to consider not saying it's the better or worse then your plan.
