Manipulation is a wonderful thing, and it will work until it doesn't. USD is a debt based currency who's value hinges on one thing, confidence. Once confidence is lost the USD goes with it. Everybody will head for the exit, and there will only be so many places to go to save what wealth they have left. Once the mass exodus begins I don't think it will be possible to get an ounce of gold at any price. My bet is already placed.
