Action alert: Tell Congress 'no' on budget cuts affecting feds
NARFE
The House Fiscal Year 2016 budget resolution, H.Con.Res. 27, which passed the House on March 25, attacks federal and postal employees and retirees by raising the cost of health insurance for all FEHBP participants, eliminating federal jobs, increasing retirement contributions for current employees and changing the rate of return on the Thrift Savings Plan G Fund. The "savings" from these cuts total $318 billion. The Senate budget resolution, S.Con.Res. 11, was less egregious, but still asked for $170 billion in savings on the backs of feds. NARFE members are urged to send a letter to tell your representative and senators to oppose any budget agreement between the House and Senate that includes these cuts to the federal community.
