I would never use any L-fund as a benchmark comparison, especially against a timing/charting strategy. The risk profiles of the two types of trading are completely different.
Standard benchmark is the S&P500, and therefore, that is how I would compare/evaluate any fund manager, or "active" trader's performance who attempts to beat the market for any period of time.
