Re: [TSP_Strategy] Re: Death Cross Article

Hi Sarah

I am not spewing negative politics. It's what's happening and evidenced by the markets. (Today is looking good..Yay... )

Where am I coming from? (I think you're asking?) My point is to invest and time trades based on ALL factors and not just focus on the fundamentals. This is especially important since timing trades in the TSP is limited at best. When the crash of 2008 occurred, money evaporated from ALL markets and very few could tell you why in advance. (ironically) I saw it coming while on a cruise in the Baltic Sea. Port after port our huge ship which had to dock in the industrial ports which were literally empty of activity and products. PLUS - how many real-estate crashes (zero qualifying, low down loans in a sagging employment market) must one witness to see it coming time and time again? History and real world events saved my butt then. HISTORY, which I'm told is something to learn from, is very telling and if there is one truth in politics and world events, what worked before will become reality again and again.

As for my TSP, I have been in G since before the ELECTIONS. My personal investments (equities) recently have been Canadian Cannabis stocks, sin stocks, and any index or fund that focused on USA only activities. Most recently I have converted much of that (gain) to cash investments (short(er) term fixed income).

BTW. When the rain rain rain comes down down down and rushing into riveluts, the river left its bed and crept right into Piglets...

I prefer to look at my emails as a positive  lesson on history and not negative spewing on politics. Ironically, history would tell you that I'm a moderate Democrat if you turned the clock back 40 years.

Thanks for the feedback and will change my tag line to "I'm a little black raincloud hovering under the Hunny Tree...pay no attention to little 'ole me..."

Aloha, Jan

Sounds like Eeyore has become your spirit animal against your own advice.

Eeyore is a character in the Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. He is generally characterized as a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, anhedonic, old grey stuffed donkey who is a friend of the title character, Winnie-the-Pooh.

Why not tell us how you are invested and plan to be invested rather than spew negative politics?

Happy Holidays!!
