LONG GAME is a very (over)generalized statement. It's not a long game for some of us. Or more correctly, it's a different long game for those of us retired or very near it. In your twenties? Just put money in fuget-about-it!
I would love to see conversations relevant to various situations, or at the least indicated when we talk about the forces affecting the markets.
Politics, fundamentals and world events can only be ignored by the very long game youngsters but even then they should consider various life choices which will impact thier earnings trajectory.
That being said, why don't we consider recommendations based on situation? It's obvious to me there are long term growth and income based investors co-mingled in this group. I would not tolerate a 130k drop as a income reliant member.
Do us retired folk need a different group? Or do we just assume we're all in this to go-for-broke?
