Remember that you don't lose until you sell. I've seen these kind of pullbacks many times over the years, and we will recover, even if it takes a couple years to do so. The economy is good. I think what is going on now is the turmoil and instability in Washington, and that is impacting the markets more than a 1/4 percent rate hike. There may also be a lot more year end tax selling going on than usual. I know it's hard to stomach an $80,000 drop in the value of my TSP. . . that is three brand new cars. .. But I look at the number of shares I own and that hasn't changed.
