That's the key for me Mike...not able to contribute (retired), which would definitely help in a turn-around.  Last huge fall, took "me" almost seven years to re-coup, and that was continuing to buy all the way down, as you suggest.  Without those extra lower cost shares to help on the way back, it would have taken even longer.   

I got out on Monday, at a loss of $55K...which would be almost double today, had I waited.  Should be plenty of room for me to catch it on the way back up...if/when.  Haven't tapped my TSP yet, just trying to grow/conserve what I have.

Don't post much, so just a shout out to all those that continue to contribute...your voices aren't lost in cyberspace...

Why are so many of you worried about your balances? So what if it drops. It will go up again, like it always has. Sometimes it takes longer. Just chill out and enjoy the discounted shares (if you're still contributing).

There will be no Death Cross today in DJIA.

 

I would prefer to wait a bit and see how this shakes out during what is normally the most bullish month of the year.
