Appreciate the input, but it's also about what you can stomach...at COB today I would have been down over $100K...that is hard to swallow. Happy to wait for things to clarify, and re-enter. Been doing fine with it since retirement 5 years ago. Besides, I may not be around for "eventually". 😉

Retired or not, I would have still let it ride instead of throwing $55k in the fire. That pains me to hear that. It's a fine example of why we are advised to not make trades based on emotions.
Your account balance dropped, but your # of shares remained the same especially considering you're not taking TSP distributions yet. It would have eventually come back.

That's the key for me Mike...not able to contribute (retired), which would definitely help in a turn-around. Last huge fall, took "me" almost seven years to re-coup, and that was continuing to buy all the way down, as you suggest. Without those extra lower cost shares to help on the way back, it would have taken even longer.
I got out on Monday, at a loss of $55K...which would be almost double today, had I waited. Should be plenty of room for me to catch it on the way back up...if/when. Haven't tapped my TSP yet, just trying to grow/conserve what I have.
Don't post much, so just a shout out to all those that continue to contribute...your voices aren't lost in cyberspace...Thank you!

Why are so many of you worried about your balances? So what if it drops. It will go up again, like it always has. Sometimes it takes longer. Just chill out and enjoy the discounted shares (if you're still contributing).
