Re: [TSP_Strategy] To take Medicare or not

 

When I turn 65 I'll be eligible for FEHB insurance, Medicare and Tricare for Life (as long as I pay for Medicare Part B). I'm thinking about suspending my FEHB at that time to see if Medicare Parts A & B and Tricare for Life will cover the bills. Does anyone have experience with that scenario?

Yes I think you need to sign up as they charge a penalty if
you don't and what I hear Medicare becomes the primary
and FEHB will pay what they don't pay.

question: I'm retired and turn 65 in January. I'm unsure
about taking Medicare. I would still keep my FEHB if I do
