      I contributed to a Roth in my TSP for a little while until I took early retirement and I was disappointed to find out that your contributions are all in the same account and you can't take them out separately.  So if you need an untaxed chunk of money for something you can't get at it.  When you make a withdrawal, a proportional percentage will be from your Roth.  I took a partial withdrawal so I could do Roth conversions.
