Gary,
I've done the same thing twice already. Love messing with them.

Subject: [TSP_Strategy] Call Me About Your Computer Problem
This seems to be the new "Fad" now. I received a call yesterday from a machine, telling me '...to call such and such number because some software "they" loaded on to my computer indicates there is a virus...' What a crock!
I have lost patients with these calls. A few weeks ago, it was these Indian- or Pakistani- sounding people calling me claiming to be from Dell, Microsoft, etc., etc., and that there is a virus on my computer and they need me to do such and such to repair the computer. Unfortunately, I believe they have my information through the OPM hack and the calls are the next step in the game to get more information.
I have heard from others who had to have their computer rebuilt after they bought in and allowed software with remote control capabilities unto their computer. In some cases it may be the first steps towards ransom-ware. It takes the same fortitude to ignore these calls as it does to switch over to the "S" with little foresight into whether it will be profitable or not, but it must be done. No matter how convincing they sound...
Don't buy into it!!!
