there should be 2 of these pullbacks on this chart of S and C funds from July 1, 2020 until today

note around Aug 27 to early Sept, 10% pull back and again Mid October to end October

Also, gain of 20% in S fund last 2 months of 2020.  

that kind of a slope upwards is nice but doesn't go on forever.

Charts are a _snapshot_ in time of more or less what the market may be thinking.

If they were easy though, everybody and nobody would be rich, but just equal

people like me take the raw data, i do simple moving averages of 5 day, 20 day and 50 day

that is, 1 week, 1 month and ~2.6 months , linear regression lines,

( Accumulation/Distribution lines based on buying vs selling pressure but not for DWCPF)

there are lots of other "indicators" that people follow some "fuzzier" than others

daily data is "jittery and noisy" so i look for trends and repeats of trends

to me a "base" is when the price has seeemed to stop going down and starts going "sideways" for a while before starting back upwards, unless it doesn't

I hope this isn't too confusing

(You need a 10% gain to get back to breakeven after a 7% loss)
