I enjoyed what I was doing prior to retirement. It was fun, mentally stimulating and such. I was also able to collect social security with no reduction in benefits due to age so that made it easy to do the $5,000+ catchup into TSP without pain, accelerate house payment and pay off mortgage, get a 15 year note on a second home. And increase TSP balance a lot.
If you got $20,000+ raise with no decrease due to age while working is very nice.
