RE: [TSP_Strategy] Re: 20% tariff on Mexican imports

if government is able to secure the borders, this could allow business/companies the opportunity to invest in products that make money for their shareholders and increase my S Fund holdings.

IMHO, the borders are already largely secure.  To further secure, there is a cost/benefit analysis that should be implemented.  In other words, if we can stop 10 more illegals from entering this country at a cost of $50 billion dollars, does that make any sense?

With respect to the TSP...if the government increases spending, and lowers taxes, with no concomitant boom in the economy, then equities will be in trouble.  The reason that stocks have soared since Nov is the belief that businesses will be deregulated...lowering costs and increasing profits.  it is that simple, and that complex.
