I would probably be buying into whatever your favorite flavor of TSP fund is. Right now, the group is in I fund, but obviously it's your money. I would use dollar cost averaging and put in a certain percentage every week or so.
Like I said, it's your money. Or you could just buy a new Mercedes.

Hello kids, what an interesting day! I have a question: what, if anything, should I do with some cash? I've been getting more and more nervous or skeptical about the general market direction so I've been funneling some money to cash rather than a life cycle targeted date fund or the I fund. I guess I was waiting for a Mercury retrograde or a sign from a God or maybe, just maybe, a big day in the markets to take action. Are the last few days enough to make me jump back in? Would love to hear you opinions.
BTW for reference, I'm mostly a targeted retirement-date fellow, with Vanguard, T. Rowe, and TSP; but I allow myself some fun money which I use to prove I mostly make bad decisions, or follow the solid allocations here, and additionally some of which I've been putting into cash. This is not the cash I keep around to fix the transmission on the 18 y.o. Mercedes. So what if anything to do right now with that cash? Thanks for any and all thoughts.
