You're not losing any money just sitting in a fund. Your account value is worth less but it's just a number. You haven't lost anything until you sell, or if the market never rebounds. We all know the market always rebounds. Sometimes it takes a while. Your number of shares doesn't decrease, unless of course you're taking retirement distributions. If you change funds, you're selling the fund that just dropped and you will lock in your loss. It's contribution day for many of us. Try to relax and enjoy getting more shares for your money today.

Why would we hold in a fund when everyone is loosing serious ground...wouldn't it make sense to sell and pick up shares at a lower price? If making money is the object we would pick up more shares in the process and it would help offset the losses we have all taken.
