Lots of times in the private sector the job security is not as good and they don't have a union to keep things more fair. It takes a bright and smart person
to get on at lots of gov. jobs as when I took the test about 2400 people tried and I was one of 10 people hired.

I see some really bright sharp people working in the government.
Many of them could be earning more in the Private Sector, but they are willing to make the pay sacrifice in return for stability and for the sake of a peaceful family life.
