I'm aware that a few people here are well versed in the complexities of S.S.
My wife is 63. She is still working and not collecting S.S. At 65 if she collects her own S.S. she will get about $900 per month. Her 1st husband passed away 6 years ago. He would have collected $2,000 per month at full retirement age. Someone told my wife 1) She can collect his S.S. instead of hers. and 2) She can collect his Full Amount when she turns 65- rather than waiting until her full retirement age.
is this correct?
