I'm now doing a combo of this group's recommendations (TSP Strategy) and my own personal strategy. Since I'm within 5 years of retirement, I decided to increase my "comfort level" by transferring more of my assets to "safer" funds, but still buying into (new contributions) mostly the C and S funds - and of that, mostly S funds upon this group's (Sarah's) recommendations. And, when/if TSP Strategy recommends selling the S Fund assets and moving, I'll move that portion of my portfolio to whatever fund they recommend. This will make me sleep easier at night - due to my nearing of Retirement Day.
Before yesterday Nov 4, (and since the group went to 100% S), my allocations were: 75% S and 25% F.
I looked at the L-Fund 2020, but find that those allocations are still a bit too conservative for me.
Now my fund distributions are: 25% F, 15% G, and 60% S; my new contributions Allocations are: 20% G, 30% C, and 50% S
I'll see how this works out in the months to come.....and will report my PIP...FWIF
