I am urloughed as well but Was not at my last agency. I'd rather be working but have made the time productive and enjoyable. We have a emergency fund and my wife works so we are ok for a year or so. I filed for unemployment in DC as a precaution right away. However, they told me that it will take up to 2 months for opm to verify or certify whatever they need to due to shortages in that office and the amount of feds filing.
