Re: [TSP_Strategy] Transfer Notice

I'm just a simple country boy, but I can't think of anything made in China that this country needs.  Almost everything made there is inferior, from drywall to steel.  Their milk was poison, their toys were poison, their honey was poison, etc.

I read an article way back around 2005 that stated something to the effect that 7% of all Chinese exports were sold to Wal-Mart, the store that began life with the tagline (if I remember correctly), "Everything we sell is made in the USA".  I may have shopped there twice, since then.  And only because I was out of town and it seemed like the only choice..  I've been "done" with Wal-Mart and Chinese goods for a while.

Just my two cents.

And, by the way, thank you Sarah for all the knowledge, support and guidance!  ; )

Would someone please explain the move to the C Fund, considering all the talk about tariffs and how they (tariffs) are bad for our economy and our stock market as we go into the holiday season ?

Tariffs tend to increase consumer prices, but analysts say the increase in prices from Mr. Trump's tariffs is likely to be small, at least for now. Economists at TD Securities said in a research note Tuesday that they expected the tariffs to add 0.1 percentage points to the inflation rate over the next year. They added that countervailing consequences, like a stronger dollar, could easily offset the effect on prices.

Analysts also expect a small reduction in economic growth. Economists at JPMorgan Chase estimated economic output would fall by about 0.1 percentage points.

The tariffs have not had a significant effect as of yet and likely will not until next year.

We'll continue to monitor the USD.
