There's a difference between canceling and suspending. If you cancel you can't get back in later. If you suspend you can get back in. Learn about the the difference and make sure you meet the requirements.

I am in great health and see few doctors during the year. I have suspended my OPM health insurance and I have opted for a Medicare Advantage plan that is free; $20 copay for dr, $50 for a specialist. The only prescription I take is Restasis eye drops that is $500/3 month with GEHA and now will be $42/month or $126/3 months. I save money with the medicare advantage plan and can pickup my OPM insurance again if and when I need it.
