Correct you are! I have a brain cloud from working 31+years in the DoD! Thanks and appreciate the reply.

Jan – just read your reply and at the end you said that the allocation was 100% C for TSP Strategy group when it should be 100% S.
TSP Strategy is 100% S
(A different website called TSP Wealth is 100% C – which is also free).

Subject: [TSP_Strategy] Re: I Fund and debate about hi-jacking topics
Thank you Ray for your thoughts. I would guess I'm not alone when I experience a bout of pet peevy-ness when once again, someone asks about the current allocation in the middle of a discussion of something else! In someways conversations on forums are akin to the real world and interjecting an off topic question just doesn't make sense or respect the conversation at hand. (exactly as I am doing now, hypocrisy, but this thread is already derailed)
I would suggest starting a new topic like "Can someone tell me what the current allocation is? or "Can someone tell me how to check the allocation on my very own?"
So, given that I'm stuck with this seemingly odd pet peeve of respecting the conversation currently taking place I will interject and give instructions on how to check the allocation every time I have the opportunity until I'm kicked off; or eventually everyone will know how to do it and conversations on the I-Fund or Sell In May will stay on-topic.
Best of luck with your TSP, and the only advice I can give is what I've learned the hard way: if you're acting on a hunch or trying to time something....don't!! At least for me I'm nearly always wrong so I stopped doing it years ago.

For us newbies:
TSP Strategy Group homepage, click "More" on (group) menu at top and select "Database". Current group allocations are in the TSP Allocations DB by sarah_oz (the only database!) and then in the database the Name field for TSP Strategy and allocation(s) (currently 100% C) is/are listed there.
