Re: [TSPStrategy] Should I get back in ASAP

I am in a similar situation, sitting on a huge pile of cash, and sleeping well.

Keep your powder dry. Be patient.  Play the long game. I have 70% in G and I am in the top 1% of the TSP. Jumping in now will lock in your loss that will NEVER be recovered.

The markets will drop. The slightest bad news in SE Asia or  N Korea or Russia and the market will drop.  The current administration is willfully pushing for more international calamity.

The dollar will soon (Aug 2023) lose it place as the world's reserve currency bc the elites in DC continue to PRINT money. This behavior signals to the world that we are not interested in paying off our debt, just like any other broke third world nation.

Furthermore, the true economy is declining (we are not producing any durable goods).  Our gdp is down to about 2%.

The frothy markets are reacting to the trillions that the govt has dumped into it.  Like giving sugar to a kid. They will crash.

Consumer debt just surpassed a record breaking $1 trillion. We have had 26 months of inflation that has effectively reduced household incomes by ~15% +.

The issues highlighted above are what I use when making TSP decisions only

There are an abundance of opportunities with individual stocks worthy of owning. This is where I am focused for now.

If I understand correctly, you are asking complete strangers, this mailing list, what you should do with your retirement hard earned money.
when do you retire? Do you have FERS and SocSec streams that will support you? home and debts paid off? etc.

It's _your_ money. When you retire it can be a small or a large amount of your paycheck.

here is what C and S funds did over the last 10 years, about 3 years, and 1 year more of less.
I've been in the markets since around 1983.

So....kind of fell asleep at the wheel...well just super busy, and just wasn't watching very carefully to get back in the market the last 6 months.

Would people suggest jumping in now or waiting?  I know timing the market rarely "works".

Do we have a group suggested allocation still now that Sarah isn't doing it (she's not doing it any more, right?)?
