Re: [TSPStrategy] TSP Allocations

I joined this group to see if folks would share insights regarding the use of the TSP and allocations shortly before and during retirement. I've seen some of that and more discussed in this group, including other retirement issues. For that I've been very thankful for folks sharing this information.

With regards to current allocation, with retirement approaching I diversified for the first time early this year (after 20 yrs). Up until then I've mixed mainly between the C & S funds and it's worked out great. If I were to do it again, I'd repeat the same strategy. I'm just shocked that anyone wouldn't entertain sharing/discussing the TSP on Facebook. I'm sure many will say this group can have privacy issues, but nothing compares to Facebook. I'd rather keep some privacy and passive investment (or any investment) discussion away from the likes of Facebook and some other social media.

Not sure how you consider that "overflow". We might be talking about different things. The seasonal trading group that I know of isn't affiliated with Scott and Deb's groups.

Unless I missed something, the secondary group isn't really an "overflow" as someone mentioned before. The main group is targeted more for the buy/hold investor and the 2nd group is for swing trading. For a while, Deb was limiting new subscribers but based on how fast the group is growing in number, I don't think she's denying many requests these days for the main group. Here is the 2nd group (swing traders group).
