The Bogelheads Wiki has an explanation of the composition for 3 fund portfolio in TSP (and others). Be sure to read note 6.

The 3 fund portfolio performance (classic model, not TSP) can be tracked from the above website (and many others) . By using the TSP equivalent tracking symbols you can build a performance model pretty easily..
I follow the group allocations....
Also consider that lifecycle funds may be an easier solution, using the composition percentages--not the year, to determine your equity/bond ratios. The three fund model generally would drive you to consider ALL of your investments in the composition percentages....not just one container (TSP). IMHO
Perhaps someone here has a model set up already.
